Hi, I'm Courtney! I'm a scuba instructor and photographer based on Gili Air, a tiny island off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia. Most days you'll find me shooting people's first dives, guiding, teaching or trying to get a nudibranch in focus whilst trying to have perfect buoyancy (and some may say - failing miserably)

While underwater photography comprises 95% of my life, I also shoot above the surface, having actually started in photography at a summer camp in Utah (of all places!). Weddings, concerts, portraits, lifestyle, travel - I love people and I love stories, whatever shape they come in. Whether you're getting married on a clifftop or diving for the first time, I want to be there with a camera.

Macro shots! After purchasing a macro lens I've been loving snapping the details on the reef, from corals to little nudibranchs!

What do I DO?

From 30 metres underwater to the front row of a festival - I shoot it all. Underwater reef scenes and marine life, weddings and elopements, concerts and live events, maternity and portraits. Whatever the environment, I'm interested in shooting it!

I create photo and video content for dive brands, dive centres, and lifestyle businesses. Having worked in social media (in various niches including being a dive centres marketing manager) alongside my photography, I understand what actually performs - not just what looks pretty. There's a whole other perspective from above. I use drone footage to capture dive sites, coastlines, islands, and ocean scenes that you simply can't get any other way - perfect for tourism content, resort marketing, and dive centre promotions.
